We needed a car seat that was small enough to fit 3 in the back seat. We have a Subaru Forester which is on the smaller side. This fit perfectly next to our infant child seat. We plan on getting another once our 11 month old is big enough.

We were looking for a narrow seat given we have two other kids. This seat works great. Easy to install. Heavy duty (translates to heavy in weight, too). It is narrow but our 3 year-old fits just fine without any problems.

I guess I should have checked the country of origin before purchasing, but I just assumed since it was a high price carseat that, like Britax, it would be made in the US. Not so, this product is manufactured in China. It seems to be of good quality, and if you need a narrow seat it is definitely the best choice. However, if you are not concerned with space in your car and you are trying to decide between this and a Britax, I would recommend supporting the US and buying the Britax which is made in Charlotte, NC. I have three Britaxes and am very happy with all of them. This carseat is mostly for air travel. Another negative of this seat is that you have to thread the shoulder belts to adjust them whereas the Britax Boulevard has a very easy adjust shoulder belt system. Again, no major faults with this seat, but I prefer to support American manufacturing as much as possible especially when spending this much money.
